C. Travis Johnson is a 33-year-old resident of Ferriday, Louisiana. He holds a Bachelor of Economics/History from Louisiana Tech University and a Masters degree in Public Administration from Belhaven University. He worked with U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu as a political director for her successful 2008 campaign. He also served as the Democratic State Central Committee, governing body of the Louisiana Democratic State Central Committee, seat 21B (2008-2012).
He worked for Fresenius Medical Care North American Regional Finance team before launching his own consulting firm in 2014, Johnson Global Business. In 2016 he operated his firm only part-time to serve as National Policy Director for Democratic GAIN that's based in Washington D.C., working remotely from Louisiana. In 2017, his firm sub-contracted with United State of Women, an organization that was launched by the White House in 2012.
While working in various areas across the nation, he has always concentrated on giving back to the community that he always calls "home". Notably, working with administrators at Ferriday Junior High School, he has initiated and organized initiatives aimed at positively impacting the educational and personal success of students. He now wants to use his desire to give back by serving residents of Louisiana's 21st District.
